We have 2 sites that are running SQL 2008 and a central site that is also running SQL 2008. The data from the 2 sites is replicated to the central data warehouse. We have a purge process that will delete data from the site and only keep 45 days worth of data.

The customer did not want the purge process turned on until all the financial reports at the site were printed and they had a hard copies. The customer's IT accidentally turned on the Purge job and didn't tell us. He quickly turned it off, however it ran for several minutes, deleting data. The site continued to operate and we just found out what happened. The customer now wants that data back before we implement the Purge process.

The question is: What is the best approach to pull the data from the Central Datawarehouse to the site. There are primary keys on the tables FYI.

Restore a backup to a new database and copy the missing data back in.

Resolve a problem with reports that are not up to date or contain missing data.
Process the warehouse or cube after you resolve schema conflicts that occurred in the warehouse.
