hello,
i have sql server 2008 on win7 32
i want to start sql server browser via the sql server configuration manager but i cannot, what is the the problem, i opened port 1434 udp
stopped other services but nothing was useful, i'm really need help

what is the error message? check service account.

here is the error:
the request failed or the service did not respond in a timely fashion.
Consult the event log or other applicable error logs for details.
