Hello,I'm trying to change the logon account for SQL Server service from local to a domain account but I receive the following error:---------------------------WMI Provider Error---------------------------The parameter is incorrect. [0x80070057]---------------------------OK ---------------------------I'm using SQL Server Configuration Manager. I have also tried on services.msc but the same error. I have to start the service (as it stays stopped) with the local account. There is no other error reported on the event viewer or SQL log.The SQL installed is 2008 R2 with SP1 installed on a Win 2008 R2 Ent Ed.Any suggestion? Thanks in advanced for your help!Sir_SQL doesn't like to be in a place where he can stand |

you should change the logon account through Configuration Manager and restart the services for the new account to come into effect...Dinakar Nethi************************Life is short. Enjoy it.************************http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/dinakar/ |
