Hi All.....How are you?

I am very new to SQL Server and I must say that your blog has helped me a lot in the past.

I am struggling with a problem and may be you could help me a little.

I have a problem whereby the JOBS Scheduled in SQLServer are failing with the error as below

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Executed as user: SmartInfoApplication. error executing method [SQLSTATE 01000] (Message 0) SIReport [SQLSTATE 01000] (Message 0) The remote server machine does not exist or is unavailable [SQLSTATE 01000] (Message 0) Error Running Report [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 50000). The step failed.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The version of SQLSERVER is

Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - 8.00.2039 (Intel X86) May 3 2005 23:18:38 Copyright (c) 1988-2003 Microsoft Corporation Enterprise Edition on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 2)

The job definition is in the attached file......The first step of the job is a Transact SQL which is as follows

exec csp_CR_Run 2706883

The definition of SP is in the attached file and also on the link http://pastebin.com/kyeYW7RZ

When i run the step SQL Code manually in Query analyzer, i get this

error executing method
SIReport
The remote server machine does not exist or is unavailable
Server: Msg 50000, Level 18, State 1, Line 3
Error Running Report

At times, i even get the error permission denied but interestingly the error disappears after a while.

Even this error that I indicated above is seen only intermittently and does not happen always. We are at a loss in trying to troubleshoot this as the behavior is quite random.

Appreciate if you could guide me with this one.

does query use a remote linked server connection? first check and see if connection is active and table/data is accesible
