Anyone have any experience with this? We are looking at moving our application from Rackspace to EC2. I read a great article by Brett Ozar on the subject but just wondering if anyone has any practical experience with this?

I know a friend of mine who's had serious issues with it, including the big outages Amazon had last year. So far he hasn't gotten much benefit from it, and wouldn't even be using it except his CIO used to work for Amazon and is pushing EC2.

Some of these issues are mentioned in the article (written by Jeremiah Peschcka IIRC, but posted on Brent's site, it may be different than the one you read). There was some Twitter mention earlier this week about other limitations (they said NDA prevented public discussion), but you could try pinging either of them and see if they can give you more information.
