Hi.
can we actually connect to sql server 2008 R2 remotely from sql server 2008??
i had below error to do that even the remote connection is set to allow.

Please check wether the remote system is set to accept remote connection.

yes, the setting in connection tab for server properties is tick for "Allow remote connections to this server.
can sql 2008 connect to sql R2 actually? they are same version (sort off)?
