I'm not too sure if I'm in the correct forum for this topic, so please excuse me if I'm wrong.

But I need help, I have a slow down on a database and I think it could be contributory to the fact it's being hosting on a virtual server. The virtual server is 2008 and is being hosted via IIS. But the physical machine hosts more than one VM. I understand the system resources will only use what the VM has been allocated but also disk I/O is a main issue. Any advice would be great.

Do you have figures from before it was placed on a virtual server? Some sort of benchmark to compare ?
Troubleshooting slow down on virtual servers can be involved.
Check my notes in the section - Troubleshooting methodology in virtualization on http://www.sqlserver-dba.com/2011/04/virtualization-and-database-servers.html
