Windows 8 opinions? When do you think you will be using it on your main machine for real work?

I've taken a fairly brief look at the latest release and can't help but feel that general users will really struggle at first with some of the most basic things. It all feels to me like a tablet ui not really a desktop one for serious work.

LOL... only when they rip my macbook from my cold dead hands.

I think I'll keep my vm running windows7 for quite a while.

I'm with Charlie. It looks nice and plays OK in a VM, but it will be a long time, if ever, before it goes onto any of my physical machines.

No. Never here. Not even on a tablet. I'll stick with Windows 7 on desktop until Windows 9 arrive.
I don't like the shift in UI when going into properties. Why have Metro at all, whenever you want to change desktop size for example, get the "old" Windows 7 UI?
To annoying for me.

My manager hates it. He said he would like it on a tablet but not on his laptop/desktop.

I haven't seen it yet.
