Hi

My friend wants to migrate his database in SQL 2005 to SQL 2008.He has some SSIS packages running on his SQL 2005 database.
a) How will these packages be affected by changing the database version to 2008.
b) What else needs to be considered for migration of stored procedures & other DB objects in 2005 to 2008?

Microsoft suggested to run Upgrade Advisor before you upgrade to SQL Server 2008. Upgrade Advisor reports issues that you might encounter if you migrate existing Integration Services packages to the new package format that SQL Server 2008 uses.
