I have generated a repoprt with a sub report which when run in report builder 3.0 look fine, however when i print the report centres the report in the middle of the page instead of the top of the page.

any ideas why

No. I started with a blank report, added a header and footer, table and a sub report

Im pretty sure its going to be something really easy that i have overlooked

if its subreport you're using for rendering report it might align towards centre depending on your settings
