Can I add conditinal formatting to my report fields such as in Excel where it is possible to add up and down arrows based on the cell value?
I know I can adjust cell colors by my report requirement caalls for arrow performance indicators?
any help would be appreciated.

You can specify Unicode characters ? (U+2191) and ? (U+2193) in a switch function for the field expression (not the color expression).

From SSRS 2008 R2 you have this feature available in the tool known as indicators
