Hi,
I installed Microsoft SQL Server on my new (still 2000) computer. I am getting the following message when I try to run the Enterprise Manager
snap-in failed to initialize
Name: Micorsoft SQL Enteprise Manager
CLSID: {00100100-1816-11d0-8eF5-00AA0062c58F}

I compared the data under Inprocserv32, ProgID and VersionIndependentprodid with another computer here and it is the same ??

What do I Do to get my Enterprise Manager to run correctly ?

Thanks

Ramana

I had this problem once. From what I recall a dll hadn't been registered correctly. Try reregistering sqlmmc.dll. ie.

regsvr32 C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Binn\sqlmmc.dll

That did the trick for me.

macka.

ps. There is MSKB article with full instructions:
