Good morning all.

I'm trying to learn how to use perfmon. I'm trying to follow along a Perfmon tutorial at this link: http://www.brentozar.com/archive/2006/12/dba-101-using-perfmon-for-sql-performance-tuning/

But what the link describes doesn't jive with what I see on my Win7 computer. Can someone please suggest a link or try to point me in the right direction on how to use Perfmon?

When I'm in Perfmon, during the wizard steps in creating a data collection set, I never see a screen where I'm presented a list of counters to choose from and I don't get the chance to browse for the server. Also there's no place for me to type the server either. Is this a permissions thing?
