can someone help me figure out how to connect my dbvisualizer to a practice database?

I just downloaded dbvisualizer and now i need to connect to a database. I dont have a server or any thing. can some one help me do this?

I do know how to get the wizard going and so forth, but I am unsure as to what driver to use and what I would connect to.

you can download and install the Free Express Edition
