Hi, my dear experts,

I want to get your opinion on choosing between 2008R2 or 2012 for our new Reporting Services.

The data that needs to be reported on is in SQL 2008 R2, and have no plan of migrating to sql 2012 in near future.

On the other hand, these reports will be consumed through SharePoint 2013 and SQL server 2012 (as the SP database).

So I have the option of either using sql 08 R2 or sql 2012 as my report server.

There is no right/wrong answer, I think. But from your experiences, which way is better?

Thank you and happy Valentine's Day!

Thanks! And I found this on technet:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg492257.aspx

According to it, only sql server 2012 SP1 can feed to SP2013, or the combination is not "supported"!

Then, what are the practical considerations between sql 2012 reporting server and 2008 R2 data store...

All about match making.
