When finish a reporting tool, the business users usually have to ask for the technicians for help, esCalc is regarded as a self-service reporting tool for the users without high IT expertise, do you think it possible? how a spreadsheet can help reporting interdependently?

there are many other self service Bi tools like Powepivot also which comes with Excel and is quite easy to work with without much sql knowledge. Its mostly wizard driven and involves very little programmability/scripting.
