Hi, i have a SQL 2012 server with multiple DBs.
I want to grant a Domain user access to query 1 single DB.
I have granted the user public access to the DB.
When he logs on to SQL management studio he can see all the DBs but has no access to them.
Is there a way to prevent him from seeing all the other DBs?
Is public role the right role if i only want him to be able to query? not delete, modify anything?

See this thread in regards to preventing the user from seeing databases s/he does not have access to. (No good solutions suggested there)

If you want the user to be able to read the tables, add them to the db_datareader role.
