I have a sql server 2008 R2 with multiple databases, I am new to sql so go easy on me.

Right now I need to change the IP address for this Server to a new one. where do i go and do this and if you can bullet steps by steps that would be cool too.
Thanks a bunch

This is done outside of SQL Server, so your question is more for a Windows server administrator rather than a DBA. It's done in control panel/network as far as I know though. Post your question on a site that specializes in Windows server administration.
