Hello, I found a package file that is in production. I need to modify the package but the only file is .dtsx. No project, no solution files.

When I double-click the file it opens in Visual Studio but only shows the DTS Properties. I want to modify connections, tasks.

This package may have been built via the Import/Export wizard.

How can I modify the package?
Thanks Jack

You need to start a new project of type Integration Server Project in Visual Studio/BIDS and then right click on packages choose add existing package and browse to .DTSX file to get it added to project. Then you would be able to modify connections, tasks etc
