Hi, I tried ReportAction in SSAS and tried to drillthrough to a ssrs report. But my question is how can users use cube in frontend? do we need to create a report with that cube and publish to ReportServer? Or there is any way where I can drill through from a summary report to drill through report where summary report has lot of parameters and only one dimension and 2 measures. We need to pass the parameters which we select in summary report to detail Report.

Any help is appreciated.

you can use end used tool like Excel to create a connection to the cube. then the action defined would be available from the cube cells selected in the end user tool.

Thank you for the reply. We want users to use reports from only report server url. So it is not possible for us to use excel as the report source.

I understood your suggestion. But users want a simple report where they can just check when we give them the Reportserver url. If we ask them to use a excel and create report using a cube they will not agree.
Do you know whether we can pass the parameters which we use in summary report to detail report?(Not the fields as parameters, I want to pass actual parameters which we use in summary report.)

you can do that in SSRS. Its called jump to report which will enable you to navigate from one report to other and even pass some parameters.
