Hi All,

I am new to DBA, i was assigned to new task i.e, our database server is too slow in between 11 am to 12 am, so i want to identify all the reasons why the database i too slow in between time, can any one please suggest me how to identify this.

Hi,

First check which application is taking more resource in task manager. If SQL service is taking more resource then
Try to find any SQL related jobs are running in mentioned time.(If no jobs running)
Then find how may application hit occurring on SQL instance or on Database.(try to find which query is running with connections and check index related to queried Tables,..... locking, blocking...)
These are the basic things you need to investigate first.
