The SQL Server databases are being backed up using ARCServe.

I have been told that ARCServe puts the database is quiescence mode during the backup.

Does any one know if this affects users form being able to add data to the database through the application during the backup?

Thanks in Advance,

Simply NO, Non of backup database process creates locks. Data remains available to users, during backup process.
