Good afternoon, i need your help

In mot a DBA, just i see some procesees running in sqls erver 2008, those processes are triggered by Manteninace Plan tool in SSMS.

Ive got some questions:

1. Is there any way to view or list previous executions so that i could know duration times for a running Manteinance process ?
2. In SMSS can i see the state of a running process ? running - idle, etc

3.so is there any way to stop or start a manteinance plan in SSMS ?

Thanks for your help in advanced

You can view the history of maintenance plans - open the Maintenance Plan folder in Object Explorer and right-click the plan. Select View History and you can view the history.

Each maintenance plan also has an agent job, you can stop/start the agent job as needed - however I would not recommend canceling the job.

To see what is running on your system you can use Activity Monitor.
