I have created one report in Ssrs(2008).one my column column is Empsal,
we need to change the background color based on empsal colukn(if empsal <5000)

how to make these changes in ssrs reports

if anybody know pls guide on the same

Go to cell's properties in the property window.You will see background property.Just use this expression in the background property--(for eg for green background)

=IIF(Fields!empsal.Value<5000,"Green","No Color")
