Hi,

what happens to database if I delete a index file?

I have sql 2008 database with 1 mdf and 1 ndf and 2 index files in different drives and a log file.

If I delete the 1 Index file? does database become inaccessible?

Why would you delete it? Aren't there indexes on there? Is the file empty?
