The publisher is 2012 and the subscriber 2005. The two instances of SS are not on the same domain, but they are in the same building. The replication runs without errors, but does not stay up to date on the subscriber.

Right now the most recent records are from 4/3/2014 on the subscriber, but there are records from 4th, 5th, 6th, & 7th on the publisher. The Replication monitor says the last start time was 4/3/2014 and the last synchronization was 4/7/2014 (See screenshot). So I guess the subscriber is reading the snapshot, but the snapshot is not being updated?

The agent is enabled and scheduled to "Start when sql server agent starts". Should I change the schedule to run periodically?

You should check the distribution agent job.
