HI All,I have a situation here which I can not avoid is to restore the backup of SQL 2008 to SQL 2000. I know it is not possible but there should be some wayPLease suggest |

1. Restore your databse to SQL 2008 or later2. Generate scripts to build the database and tables3. Generate scripts to insert the data. (see: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/martijnh/archive/2010/06/24/sql-server-2008-r2-generating-insert-statements-for-a-table.aspx)4. Run scripts on SQL 2000. |

Or you can use the Copy Database Wizard on SQL Server 2008? Microsoft SQL Server MVP, MCT, MCSE, MCSA, MCP, MCITP, MCTS, MCDBA |
