Hi, Is there a way to run a Dts package outside the server? maybe from Excel?

Are you in SQL 2000? Then I suppose you can't do what you want.

Starting with Sql 2005 you can use the SQLCMD command to run packages from anywhere. Note that the package probably still needs a database connection. However, it its just file to file or excel to excel, it should work.

Curious though. What's your use case for running the package from Excel?
