Hi Everyone,
I have windows 7 professional sp1 installed on my pc.

I am planning to install SQL server 2008 on my pc.

As I am using sp1 os, I have to install SQL server 2008 sp1 also.

I have enabled .net framework 3.5, installed sql server 2008, and sql server 2008 sp1.

But when I tried to connect to server I am getting the below error.



The below is services state information.

I don't think that is true. Try installing SQLServer 2008 R2 or 2012 or 2014 instead
