I develop reports using SSRS. I would like to use Subscriptions to set up reports to run automatically on a schedule and then have the reports emailed to the appropriate managers. Using the Reporting Services Configuration Manager, I entered a "Sender" email address and what may or may not be the SMTP server name. The subscriptions that I have set up fail and give the following Status message:

"Failure sending mail: The user or group name 'WIN-1NA29MBEPDC\Administrator' is not recognized.Mail will not be resent."

I don't know where to begin to make this work. My boss wants it and so far our consultants that designed the database and manage our servers have not been much help. I wonder if the RSReportserver.config file needs to be modified (I did find the file), but again I know NOTHING about such files. All I know about is designing reports !

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Your send-to email address needs to be a proper email address e.g. fred@mycompany.com

I have a proper send-to email address.

The message indicates something wrong with the user or group name. Perhaps I need to change that somehow ???

HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
