Actually, regular MS Access text data is the equivalent to varchar. |

Thats right Rob, but the Access Text datatype goes only upto 255 characters, while the varchar goes upto 8000OS |

It might also pay to be aware of row size limitations which in SQL Server is aomething like 8064 chars so if you have multiple varchar(8000) or so fields if they are fairly full then you may have problems. I would assume (but don't know) that Access has smaller limits than SQL Server ??===========Paul |

8060 max row size ==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
