1. Is the permissible data type for identity column int for MS-SQLServer 7.0 too? 2. What is the permissible value for the seed and increment , is there any limitation/restriction ????? |

1.yes2.I have not heard of any limitations as such for identity values as long as it does'nt cross the upper limit of the datatype.;)Expect the UnExpected |

The only other limitation is that you cannot have decimal increments. You cannot have an increment value of 1.1 or 0.1, for example, even if the datatype allows for it. |
