Generate an html-excel file with any table. Does not need Excel to generate , because does not use Excel automation.

What about sp_makewebtask? It's specifically designed to generate HTML files from SQL Server queries, tables, etc.

sp_makewebtask has problems with long text fields. (It cuts fields
at 255 char).
I oftenly need generate files with long text in a cell. (More than 255).
