Aw shucks, that's very kind of you.

Behold: THE SLOWEST THOUSAND EVER!!! (and most of them )

There once was a from Adelaide
Who's one thousandth post was delayed
He got stuck on 994
- cause he couldn't think of anything more
Until some nice-guy named Jay came to his aid....

hmmm - think I'll stay on 1000 forever [dream]

There is this Aussie yak on SQLTeam
Talented lad, he waxes lyrical...like Wordsworth's dream
Now he's got a thousand posts
Though most of those are toasts

Whether you need help with Access
Or with SQL Server configuration
You need an orbituary written or a fable
Or the next milestone dedication,
The Yak laureate is always available!

He's so nice, you'd think he's a little looney
He's alright, just don't lend him any more money!

My rather pathetic attempt at poetry, but it would just be soooo unfair to celebrate your milestone without poetry!

Congratulations, Rob!! Cheers!!

Outstanding Rob!
I would not dare to put my poems up against the master Lyricist.

So I will settle for a pat on the back.

great at SQL
has no equal !
And wouldn't you know it
He's also a poet

CONGRATULATIONS ROB !!! Whenever i see a "last post, rrb" on the forums, it's usually a must-read ! the best one is where you demonstrate that the spelling of the middle letters of words is completely irrelevant to understand the sentence ... i love that one !

I've often asked myself the same question...a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy - and a guy you definitely don't want to lend money to.

A Laureate Yak from Adelaide,
From S.Q.L. lemons makes lemonade,
And crafts wily limericks,
To a count of one thousand six,
And never has fired the D.B.A.!

And yes, I will not inflict my (lack of) poetic skills on the SQL Team community again. Even I was hurt by this one.

CONGRATS ROB!!!!!

thanks rob, but please don't self-deprecate
your poetic responses were all great
and as I sit in my seat
(in 46 degree heat)
I believe in Fahrenheit that's 114.8

and it makes me really bad at poetry.

There once was a poet named Rob,
Not Sean, Carl or Bob,
Whose thoughts strayed to things SET,
where no poet waxed yet,
Finding a fit for Rob was a job.

Thought Rob, I must find a forum
For my meter, rhyme and decorum
Fretted Rob: is it just a dream?
SQL and rhyme are no team?
But Rob's rhyme made SQLTeam a Quorum.
