OK...it's been a while since I restored 7.0But don't I need the mdf and ldf equivilantThey're giving me this 12 gb *.bak file to restoreI got some time because I told them I need to know the collation...But aren't 7.0 and 2k Restores the same?Thanks Tara....just a case of brain-freeze...Brett8-) |

They have the same basic syntax. You can restore a 7.0 database onto a SQL Server 2000 server. When you do the restore, it'll have the database compatibility mode set to 70 though. If you want it to be 2000, change it to 80.What do you mean by MDF and LDF equivalent? The .BAK file is enough to do the RESTORE.Tara |
