I am using SQL 7.0 and NT4.0 with Index Server, all in one box. I had setup Linked Server so that i can access Index Server data in SQL Queries.

Since the Indexing service and SQL Server Full Text Indexing is CPU Intensive, we moved the SQL Server to a different server and upgraded the sql server to 2000.

In short, ServerA is IIS 4.0 with Index Server.(catalog name:Web)
ServerB is SQL Server 2000.

How do i add Linked Server in ServerB pointing to Index Server in ServerA using MSIDXS.????
Do i need to specify the Catalog file name location while specifying the linked server.
What should be the User Permission for the Web Catalog file in ServerA??"
