Hello...I need to know what this output means: @@version - 8.00.818?Does this mean SQL Server 2000 SP3? Also, how does one become alerted to new patches, hotfixes, bugs, etc.? What is the typical protocol on applying these?Thank you for your helpNS |

818 means sp3 with the latest security patch installed. We get notified about these through our MS representative. Once made public though, you can find out this info at www.microsoft.com/sql .And we always apply these to test systems first, let them burn in there for a while, then out to production.Tara |
