I am testing something in MS SQL Server 2000. I created new login account that use SQL Server Authentication with grant access. Through the wizrad I left blank box for role, and for permit in DB. So that login has neither no role, nor explicit access to any database. Thus, I connected using that login to SQL server (using Query Analyzer)and I can execute anything. That's somehow strange. How could this be possible?Should I be forbidden to do those things, because I am don't have any role, nor granted db?What's the default settings?Tnx for answers |

Check the access for the guest account, it may fall under that.If the login has a server-wide role, it can do anything that role is allowed to do.-------Moo. :) |
