The same question has been asked on the Microsoft newsgroups and PASS Discussion Forums. But I don't think anyone knows the answer as there was no response. I'll greatly appreciate any help on this.

| Yes it was a known bug with non service packed SQL2K. Annoying isn't it. Just apply SP1 and you'll be fine. |
