Can I buy sql server 2000 processor licenses that are used and cheaper? They list for $5000 but i have seen a few listed for less from 3rd parties. how do they do that? and is it legal? basically, i want to find the cheapest way to buy a sql server 2000 processor license. |

I don't think there is any law, at least in the US, saying that a vendor has to sell at a price set by the manufacturer.Just make sure that you understand exactly what they are selling you: Enterprise Edition, Standard Edition, Developer Edition, processor licensing vs. cal licensing, etc.CODO ERGO SUM |

Definitely contact MS before you buy that Enterprise Edition of SQL Server 2000 on eBay for $3500.MeanOldDBAderrickleggett@hotmail.comWhen life gives you a lemon, fire the DBA. |
