In one of our windows 2000 servers we have SQL Server 2000 running. I’ve been trying to backup my transaction logs for the databases for some time but I’ve had no success. Today I tried to manually backup the transaction log and I discovered that on every database the transaction log option is disabled. In other words if I right click a database and select ‘All Tasks->Backup Database…’ And under ‘Backup’ there are ‘Database – complete, Database – deferential, Transaction log, File and file group:’I cannot select Transaction log because it is disabled. Does anybody know why they are disabled? How can I enable them? |

shaminda look up Recovery Model in books on line. If you want to use Transaction log backups you will need to change the Recovery Model.JimUsers <> Logic |
