Hi allplease help.i am strcuk up in something very urgent.ia am trying to configure sql mail.My problem is i have windows 2003 server with sp1 with ms outlook 2002 installed.Now after changing to this account in server properties and ans sql server agent properties when i go to suppoort services and right click sql mail properties i do not see the profile name in drop down list.I ahve tied to troubleshoot it but of no use.please helpRegardsNitin |

Yes my dear.i have gone thriugh all these articles.i have a mail max mail server . my server is windows 2003 standard edition with sp1 installed.regardsNitin |

hii have configured the mail id on my server Ms outlook 2002.i have logged in with my account.then in properties of server in security tab i have changed it ot this account.and put my username and id there.then in management folder sqlserver agaent properties i have changed it to this account.and then in support services right click on sql mail and in properties i dnt see the outlook profile.which should come i guess.and the same thing i have one succesfully on my test server with same settingsNitin |

Ok. What account is managing SQL Agent and SQL Server? Have you logged in with that account and setup a default profile? If not, try that. Also, make sure you are on the latest service packs for Outlook and SQL Server.MeanOldDBAderrickleggett@hotmail.comWhen life gives you a lemon, fire the DBA. |
