Don Matykowski writes "I assign my users to public and set "select" permissions in the public role. When I reboot the server, the public user loses 1/2 of the select permissions. I have to go in and reset the "select" permission every time.

Very annoying for the user if I don't get at it first thing after a reboot."

Are you possibly doing a Restore database or something prior to the reboot?

Hi,
rather why dont make a seprate user role and assign proper permission to that user and then add / map your user to that role , it will serve your purpose.

:-)

Are there any errors in the errorlog around the recovery of this database?
