Extreme beginner here with a problem. We are trying to deploy reports over a VPN connection and keep getting prompted for username and password. The Report Services SQL 2000 says that you either need to be on the domain while deploying reports or use a trusted connection such as a trusted domain. We are trying this via a VPN connection from an XP Pro pc at the developers home.Is this possible? Has anyone done this?Any guidance or advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance.Cepolly |

Are you gettign an error ? Did you type in your user name (including domain name) and password of your NT domain account ?Is this prompt when you try to deploy a report?if you are receiving errors what are they? Are you timing out ? We need a lot more information if you want a resolution to this.Jon Keeping the web experience alive -- http://www.web-impulse.comRS Blog -- http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/jhermiz |

Thanks for getting back to me. We were getting no errors just login prompts. However we did get it to work by copying the files to the server via VPN and then connect via Remote desktop and use the Report Manager to deploy the report. It worked. Is there a way to get it to work otherwise? |
