I'm not sure if anyone does hourly work. I am near Dallas, and have a school project. I have 4 reports that are HAND SQL coming from views on a database. We now have a new database, with new views to use for creating the same reports. I need the SQL that was used in the original 4 reports to be modified to reference the new database, and views. I can be contacted at jpuentes75@hotmail.com

What would be the best way to send you the files? I have 6 text files.1) Old views for old database.2) New views for new database.3-6) SQL scripts to create original 4 reports. Both databases are SQL Server 2000. Data should be exactly the same within both dbs. The only real difference is that the fields are different. What I need, are 4 NEW SQL scripts to create the original 4 reports under the new db schema.

In that case you should try to do it yourself. Post when you have problems but at least have a go.If it's just column names that have changed then just go through the old scripts and where you see a column name that has changed trplace it with the new name.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy.

I'm not very good at SQL, and would be willing to pay someone to do this for me, because I want it done right. Honestly, I'm not even sure where to start.

check BOL or msdn site, there are loads and loads of examples therejust type in what you need to know like select, create views, etc..it's just like changing home address, if previous address is dallas, change it to antartica (new)...atleast something like that...--------------------keeping it simple...
