This weekend we upgraded are SQL Server from 2000 to 2005. We renamed the 2005 servernameOLD and then named the new server servername.

Most things are working fine but are intranet is giving us the "NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON" error.

Its settings are:

authentication mode = windows

IIS is set for Integrated Windows Authentication with anonymous access disabled.

IIS and our SQL Server are in the same domain but on different servers.

I'm sure that IIS isn't passing the proper credentials to SQL server but don't really have any clue how to trouble shoot.

Everything was working when we were using our SQL 2000 server.

Thanks

I'm sorry, could you be a little more specific? I'm not a real dba, I just play one.

What exactly am I looking for?

OK, found the problem.

The old instace of SQL Server Agent was running under a domain account and the new one was using local system.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
