Thanks to the 18 people that submitted 27 possible solutions to our first Reader Challenge. In this article I've broken down the first correct solution which was submitted by Michael Price. I'll detail the cleanest, fastest and most obtuse solutions in another article.

can't wait to see if anyone managed it with one table scan... I think that's impossible but would love to be wrong!

but now the real stumper... how to be the first entry received when my time zone is sleeping while graz' time zone is posting

We consider it as a previlage to get listed
in sqlteam.com. why not put the list of members who submitted the solution .20 is not a long list anyway
