Hi
i understand that we can automate mackups with maintenece plan and dts but i want to implement a strategy where if my dbcc checkdb fails or any of my backups i should get a page or a mail.
How can we do that?

Setup operators to warn of errors. Setup alerts to warn of failures in the maintenance plans and jobs also. That will cover you.
