Phani kumar writes "In my database in a table, one of the column's size was 50. I took the complete backup of the database. But now the column's size was increased to 100 and there were some changes in the database. I created a new database and restored the backup. To my surprise column's size is changed to 50 after restoring the database. how can i restore the data without changing the column's size in my table. It should be 100 but data should be restored." |

The column size won't change on a restore - it could be the way you are viewing it. Sounds like in some places you are seeing the byte size and some a character size of a unicode column.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
