I really hope whatever he is developing is for his personal use and not for a company. What a waste of money otherwise!

I have a theory that software gets more clever (take .NET for example) that people get more stupid to compensate (take me for example!)

It' probably that as the software gets more clever, more stupid people begin to use it because it’s easier to use.

Peter is very generous with his time with people that seem to be fairly clueless.
I, on the other hand, am not. My opinion, based on experience over the years, is that developers below a certain minimum level never seem to benefit from help, and that helping them amounts to just doing their job for them. Basically, they don’t get anything done, and they consume the time of people that could be getting things done.
I have seen this again and again with developers I work with; there are a lot of people that go into software development that just are not suited for it. When inherent talent is below a critical ”tipping point” they become a net negative to an organization, and productivity increases without them. I don’t think it is a training issue either. Some people are good developers from day one and others never will be.
I think we get a lot of people like this at SQLTeam, and the “worst of the worst” are the Twit List candidates.

| I don't even look at his threads anymore. I figure the less help he gets the quicker he'll give up and the less damage he will do. |

Elwoos, you are not being nice to me! I am still laughing I don't expect to work with something important more today, after this.

I'm curious about this guy actually. It seems like he is in a panic state at all times and therefore cannot think clearly.

Blindman -- I look forward to his posts. They are quite entertaining. I'd love to see the entire system he is working on ......
He is a perfect "twit list" person: refuses to learn anything, only wants quick answers to solve problems that were due yesterday.
